i have been “othered” by fellow black people since i was a kid for not being the “right” kind of black or having “strange interests” and that shit hurts. and im not even close to being the only one who has experienced this
and i just wanted to let yall know that deciding that a black person isnt black enough because they dont have “black” interests is anti black as hell
the nerdy black kids are still black. the ‘otaku’ black kids are still black (i kno the term otaku is eh but theyre still black), the black kids who get perms to fit in with their white friends are still black, the gyaru/lolita black kids are still black, the black kpop fans are still black, the black goth & heavy metal loving kids are still black
